Circ
Circ's goal is to satisfy consumers' demands for sustainability while retaining quality, affordability and convenience for industries. The company takes discarded clothing and recycles it to manufacture fabrics using both plant-based and petroleum-based materials. Tyton, Circ's primary product, is a virgin-equivalent substance made from market-grade dissolving pulp and petroleum monomers, which manufacturers can purchase at the same cost as traditional virgin materials to create various fibers such as cotton, polyester, and nylon. With water as its primary solvent, Circ aims to recycle these materials in a cost-effective manner. The company was established in 2011 and operates out of Danville, Virginia.
